What will I be responsible for?

Leads and manages a team to provide an effect HR and training service to the business with commercial focused HR solutions, advice and guidance. Provides strategic HR solutions to achieve business results

What decision/change authority will I have?

Manages senior internal and external relationship which are important for current delivery, ie internally, across the organisation and on Senior Management Boards

Who will I work with?

Management of HR teams. Strong work relationships with wider HR community. Works closely with other support services as required. Liaises closely with management. Works with Heads of HR to ensure that an effective HR strategy is delivered and maintained across the business

What projects/people will I lead?

Is expected to make recommendations to add or delete resources within their entity to ensure its integrity and typically manages an infrastructure of roles up to and including several team members. ‘Upward looking’ specialist advisors would typically be recognised as experts in their business and primarily call upon personal experience and knowledge to provide a trustworthy and comprehensive service to decision makers

What technical expertise will I need?

Working knowledge of specialist areas such as diversity and inclusion, corporate responsibility, pensions

What experience will I need?

Experienced in a senior HR role in a commercially focused environment. Sound knowledge of UK employment law and commercial judgement. Good project management skills and problem solving with ability to prioritise and multi-task. Experience of line managing other staff such as HR Managers, Training Managers, HR/Training Advisors

Will I need formal qualifications?

CIPD qualified (Chartered member)
CIPD Diploma in L&D Management (intermediate level)
