What will I be responsible for?
Undertakes limited supervised negotiation and drafting of straightforward agreements. Undertakes unsupervised legal research and assists solicitors in solving problems of low to medium complexity and/or value. Will be exposed to some elements of work that a Counsel undertakes as part of training and development
What decision/change authority will I have?
Implements defined procedures under supervision. Plans specific work streams within projects. By Trainee level, provides analytical support in the decision making process. At Supervisor level, helps plan and prioritise work streams
Who will I work with?
Internally interacts with peers, supervisors and clients. Externally interacts as required to deliver work streams; interactions tend to be ad hoc rather than part of a continued client or third party relationship. External interactions usually occur following instructions from supervisor
What projects/people will I lead?
Uses resources provided to deliver outputs efficiently and on time. By Trainee level, works with reducing supervision with knowledge as a developing resource, but still within a well-defined and limited area of accountability
What technical expertise will I need?
Holds degree, law or other plus CPE and will have passed LPC (or equivalent). By Trainee level, developing knowledge of Legal, becoming more self-directed but generally within a defined remit and under supervision
