What will I be responsible for?

Delivers a broad service to a defined project/asset/area. Routinely provides expert technical advice to managers and above. Relied upon by client and line manager as personally accountable for a transaction or wider project. Has knowledge and a high level of understanding of company policies and procedures with accountability for compliance aspects of a project/asset. Integrates a wide range of transactions and problems requiring co-ordinated inputs from other disciplines

What decision/change authority will I have?

Able to improve the way in which an individual transaction is structured or problem resolved. Is expected to propose work streams and lines of enquiry

Who will I work with?

Presents recommendations for management review. More regular internal and external interaction with stakeholders

What projects/people will I lead?

Uses own professional knowledge as primary resource. May instruct trainees and paralegals and make recommendations for deployment of existing or additional resources

What technical expertise will I need?

Relied upon to identify legal and potentially commercial constraints and their potential impact on a transaction or project

What experience will I need?

Is expected to have and apply solid grounding in legal knowledge and is developing a level of industry knowledge

Will I need formal qualifications?

Successfully completed the required post-qualification training period to achieve professional accreditation; beginning to gain meaningful industry, commercial and legal experience
