Procurement Assistant

What will I be responsible for?

Delivers work following standards and guidelines, using proven models or set routines. For example, collates various data and provides standard outputs, provides supporting information for analysis, processes invoices and performs simple reconciliations on account records and is expected to show initiative in dealing with non-routine queries, but with reference to supervisory advice. By Level 2, will be planning, communicating and delivering circumscribed areas of procurement activity but subject to readily available direction. By Level 3, will be managing a processing team

Is expected to make contributions to improve part of a current system, standard or process

Who will I work with?

Interacts with a number of cross-functional and external contacts in order to deliver the set output. For example, interacts with external vendors to respond to queries on the status of outstanding invoices

What projects/people will I lead?

Helps to develop other members of their team, or acts as a specialist within area of work

What technical expertise will I need?

Requires people management skills, ability to use own judgement to deal with non-routine items and act as an escalation point within team, effective verbal and written communication skills
