What will I be responsible for?

Sets the direction for procurement strategy and targets for the business or group. Contributes to the strategic leadership of the business/area and is a member of the entity’s Operational Board or Procurement Leadership team

What decision/change authority will I have?

Provides a complete commercial procurement function for Group-wide expenditure with external suppliers; responsible for the provision of professional expertise and at the forefront regarding the implementation and development of procurement strategies

Who will I work with?

Manages key internal and external stakeholder relationships. Engages senior managers across a number of complex and significant procurement/business issues. Drives overall client engagement across projects

What projects/people will I lead?

Responsible for leading procurement teams to use best financial and investment practices with the resources available to them to optimise the financial structure. Develop and deliver long-term procurement strategies

What technical expertise will I need?

Recognised expertise in setting Group-level strategies and standards; in-depth technical expertise across a range of procurement disciplines

What experience will I need?

Track record of setting strategic direction for section of the business or functional area. Significant external relationship management experience. Business orientated and commercially astute; understands the sector and its clients; in-depth knowledge of group interdependencies
